In 2025, the whole country will have about 10 competency and thinking assessment exams organized by universities. The three largest exams of the two national universities and Hanoi University of Science and Technology include: Hanoi National University's (HSA) Competency Assessment, Ho Chi Minh City National University's (APT) Competency Assessment and Hanoi University of Science and Technology's (TSA) Thinking Assessment.
The results of these exams are used by many universities as a basis for admission.
Below is a detailed update of the scores of the competency assessment test floor and thinking assessment in 2025 of the schools:
21. Procuracy University
- For Law majors, Procuracy majors:
The ability assessment floor score is at least 70/150 points (exam organized by Hanoi National University) or at least 700/1,200 points (exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University).
In addition, candidates need to meet general conditions according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; pass the preliminary exam in 2025; training results, learning results in grade 11 and grade 12 are assessed as Good (for candidates who are grade 12 students in the 2024 - 2025); academic performance classified as Good or higher, conduct classified as Good or better in grade 11 and grade 12 (for candidates who are grade 12 students in the 2023 - 2024 school year or earlier); meet the entrance threshold conditions according to the school's Admissions Information regulations.
- For Law, Economic Law:
The competency assessment floor score is at least 60/150 points (exam organized by Hanoi National University) or at least 600/1,200 points (exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University).
In addition, candidates need to meet general conditions according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; training results, learning results in grade 11 and grade 12 are assessed from quite or higher (for candidates who are grade 12 students in the 2024 - 2025); academic performance is classified from quite or higher, conduct of exams is classified from quite or higher in grade 11 and grade 12 (for candidates who are grade 12 students in the 2023 - 2024 school year or earlier).
22. Greenwich University Vietnam
The floor score for admission to Greenwich University Vietnam is as follows: HSA from 70/150 points, APT from 700/1,200 points.
23. School of Management and Business, Vietnam National University, Hanoi
At the School of Management and Business, Hanoi National University, candidates must achieve the score of the Hanoi National University's competency assessment test from 80/150 points or more or with the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment test from 750/1,200 points to ensure the entrance score of this method.
At the same time, candidates must meet one of the following 2 English language requirements:
- Having a minimum of 7.0 points in each semester (6 semesters) of high school English.
- Or have an Ielts English certificate (or equivalent) of 5.5 for 2 years from the date of taking the exam as prescribed.
Previously, many other schools such as Foreign Trade University, National Economics University, Banking Academy, University of Commerce... also announced the floor score for capacity assessment and thinking assessment.
