Candidates rush to register, schools expand their own exams
In 2025, the two largest pedagogical universities in the country will expand to organize separate exams for admission. The number of registered candidates also increased significantly compared to last year.
Hanoi National University of Education has just organized the 2025 competency assessment (SPT) exam. According to the school, nearly 17,500 candidates registered to take the exam - an increase of nearly 6,000 candidates compared to 2024.
Because the number of candidates participating in the exam has increased and spread to many localities across the country, the school has expanded the organization of the exam, arranging 4 exam locations in Hanoi and exam locations in Nghe An, Da Nang, Binh Dinh.

As for Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, this year's specialized competency assessment exam will be held in 3 rounds, in April, May and July. The school estimates that the total of the 3 exams will have a scale of more than 19,000 candidates; while in 2024, this figure will be 8,500.
The exam location has been expanded compared to last year, in addition to Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Long An and Gia Lai, there are also Hue, Can Tho, Dak Lak.
In addition to the two familiar pedagogical competency assessment exams mentioned above, this year, Hanoi National University of Education will organize a separate exam for the first time for admission.

In 2024, Pedagogy is one of the 4 majors with the highest number of candidates registering for admission, up to 85% compared to the previous year.

On the parents' side, guiding their children to study pedagogical subjects is for many different reasons.

She said that standing at the threshold of university, her children were wondering which major they should study. At the same time, the stability and nature of the work in the educational environment are also the reasons why Mr. Tam's family agreed when his child registered for the pedagogical profession.
"The pedagogical benchmark score last year was very high and this year it may be even higher. My child also took the graduation exam this year under the new program, there have been many changes, so I know it will be very difficult. Therefore, the family always tries to accompany and support the child as much as possible" - he said.
