Lisa has released the album "Alter ego", marking her debut as a solo artist under her own brand Lloud and collaborating with RCA Records.
The product combines many genres such as K-pop, rap, flamenco, Afrobeat, hip-hop, R&B.
"Alter ego" deeply explores the psychology of "other selves", an idea that, according to psychology professor Ethan Kross, helps manage complex emotions and situations by changing perspective.
For Lisa, the concept is transformed into five characters reflecting different aspects of herself: Roxi, Kiki, Vixi, Sunni and Speedi, each with their own personality.
Lisa's "Alter ego" achieved many successes when it was released. On the first day of release on Spotify, the song reached more than 23.49 million streams, even surpassing Cardi B's "Invasion Of privacy" (15.4 million streams) to set a record for the largest first-day streaming for a debut album by a female rapper on the platform.
Lisa's "Alter ego" also achieved an incredible achievement when compared to her own "The Album" by Blackpink in terms of having the most songs in Spotify's "Top 10 First Album" from a single album among K-pop artists (each artist has 5 songs).
At the same time, both Lisa and Blackpink made history when they, along with Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, Billie Eilish and Adele, became the female artist with the most albums in the top 10 of the Spotify Global 200 chart.
Lisa has surpassed 3.5 billion streams on Spotify in all categories, becoming the first and only female K-pop solo artist to reach this milestone in the platform's history.
Lisa and Lady Gaga are currently the biggest female artists on the music platform charts worldwide at the moment and both are in the top 10 along with Bad Bunny, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, Billie Eilish, Drake, Tate Mcrae, Rose of Blackpink and Bruno Mars.
