Lerici (Italy) excavated an archaeological site at the L Tower Group in the My Son Tower Temple Area, Duy Phu Commune, Duy Xuyen District, Quang Nam Province from May 9, 2025 to July 30, 2025.
The permitted excavation area is 150m2 (10m x 15m/01 hole) chaired by Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Quy, Institute of Archaeology.

The My Son Cultural Heritage Management Board and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province are responsible for preserving and protecting the exhibits collected during the archaeological excavation process, avoiding damage and loss and reporting to the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism on a plan to protect and promote the value of those exhibits.
After the end of the archaeological excavation, My Son Cultural Heritage Management Board, the Institute of Monuments Conservation of Monuments and the Institute of Archeology must have a preliminary report and propose the management and protection plan of the archaeological excavation in a month slowly and the scientific report in the latest at least one year, to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Before announcing the results of archaeological excavations in Vietnam, Italy and internationally, the agencies were granted a exchange license, agreed with the Cultural Heritage Department. The Management Board of My Son Cultural Heritage, the Institute of Monuments Conservation of Monuments and Archeology Institute must be responsible for the announcements of the results of archaeological excavations at home and abroad in accordance with the law.
