Nguyen Thuy Hien was born in 1979 in Hanoi. Since childhood, she has been passionate about martial arts and studied traditional martial arts. When wushu traveled to Vietnam, she was lucky and after nearly 1 year of training, at the age of 14, she won a Gold Medal (HCV) in athletics and a Silver Medal (HCB) in boxing at the World Championship, becoming the first Vietnamese athlete to win a World Championship.
In 10 years of competition, Thuy Hien won 7 World HCVs, 2 Asian HCVs, 1 ASIAD HCB, 8 SEA Games HCVs and many prestigious awards.
Behind the glory of "washu queen" Nguyen Thuy Hien are the years of facing injuries, stomach pain, spinal pain and a thin figure, only 40kg. Passion and strong will help her overcome everything.

At the peak of her career, Thuy Hien received many acting awards, including the female lead role in the film "Heroic Bloodline". The Wushu Queen said that at that time, she was pregnant and refused to participate in the film to maintain her health. The role later belonged to Ngo Thanh Van, helping her win the Golden Lotus and become a famous female fight.
Thuy Hien added that at that time, she was invited to the US to train action actors with a high salary. However, she refused and chose to stay in Vietnam to compete as a wushu athlete.
In 2024, former athlete Thuy Hien surprised everyone when participating in the program "Beautiful Sister Riding the Wind", she wanted to inspire positive things, encourage women to be confident and believe in themselves. In addition to her youthful beauty, she is praised for her diverse fashion sense and knows how to enhance her own style.
In middle age, the "golden girl of Vietnamese sports" was once loyal to her short hairstyle but her fashion sense became more feminine and stylish. After many love affairs, she enjoys a happy single life, with no intention of getting married.

At the age of 45, Thuy Hien is both a wushu coach, training a generation of young athletes, and doing business in fields such as restaurants and fashion. She also participated in TV game shows, movies and music videos.
In June 2024, she appeared in the MV "Canh chim Phuong" by Tung Duong, collaborating with Double2T and musician Tu Dua - her ex-husband.
Currently, Thuy Hien's greatest happiness is spending time giving her two daughters who both possess artistic talent. The eldest child studied at the Vietnam National Academy of Music, while the second child studied fashion design.
