This year's event with the theme of Ao Dai Vietnam - Rising Vietnam took place from March 1-9 at many locations in the city, especially in the central area.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa - Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, this year's festival is one of the key activities towards celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

The festival shows national pride and aspiration for development and integration of Ho Chi Minh City on the international map. At the same time, aiming to effectively and successfully organize activities and events in response to major holidays in the city.
Thereby, contributing to achieving the goal set by the city's tourism industry of welcoming 8.5 million international visitors and 45 million domestic visitors, with a total estimated revenue of VND260,000 billion, accounting for 13% of Ho Chi Minh City's GRDP.

In addition to the Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival, at the end of March, the 2025 Vietnam Bread Festival will expand its scale with 150 - 180 booths, expected to attract more than 150,000 domestic and international visitors. People and tourists can also experience banh mi from many countries, Vietnamese dishes, banh mi combined with Vietnamese coffee and other drinks.

According to statistics from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, in the first 2 months of 2025, total tourism revenue in the city will reach more than VND 37,400 billion, an increase of 30.2% over the same period in 2024; international visitors to the city will reach 1,044,836 arrivals, an increase of 15.7% over the same period; domestic tourists to the city will reach 5,579,780, an increase of 8.3% over the same period in 2024.
