
On January 30, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son - Head of the Steering Committee for National Fairs inspected the implementation of the 2026 Spring Fair.
Reporting at the working session, representatives of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that the assigned tasks have basically been fully implemented and are accelerating the implementation progress.
The Ministry has actively called for and mobilized businesses and units to participate in the booths. Currently, the staging work is being implemented, and it is expected that all booths will be completed by the evening of January 30.
According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the opening and closing programs will include stage activities, including three art programs organized to serve tourists and compatriots. In addition, some thematic activities such as tourism promotion and introduction of local festivals are also integrated, contributing to spreading the spring atmosphere.
People's Artist Nguyen Xuan Bac - Director of the Department of Performing Arts - Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that the art program is being staged with the spirit of "a new spring - a new era", showing the harmony of the three regions North - Central - South. Right from the opening performance, the program will use the mashup form of three typical songs of the three regions, creating an opening highlight.

Next are songs associated with spring, recreating the natural beauty and fresh atmosphere of the country in the new year. The program has the participation of many singers loved by the public such as My Linh, My Anh, Dong Nhi, Noo Phuoc Thinh, Mai Thi, Bao Tram, Thu Hang... contributing to attracting a large number of people and tourists.
The Department of Performing Arts has assigned tasks to specialized units, including the Vietnam Circus Federation, to develop many festival-oriented programs, slogans, creating a vibrant atmosphere throughout the event.
With a duration of 12 days, the Department of Performing Arts directs the organization of a series of special art programs, committing the central stage to become the core area to spread the festival atmosphere.
According to information from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the unit actively coordinates with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to prepare about 100 gifts that are OCOP products, regional specialties to serve gift-giving activities within the framework of mini-games and cultural programs.
The 2026 Spring Fair is scheduled to take place from February 2nd to 3rd, 2026, not only serving the short-term goal of stimulating consumer demand during Tet, but also aiming for a longer-term goal of building a comprehensive and professional trade promotion event according to international standards, gradually making Vietnam a regional fair and exhibition center.
The fair is designed with a scale of about 100,000 m2 of indoor space and more than 45,000 m2 of outdoor space, including 10 display halls, each hall about 10,000 m2, with about 3,000 standard booths and areas serving cultural, culinary and experiential activities.
The highlight of the 2026 Spring Fair is the organizational approach according to the concept of "spring travel across Vietnam", harmoniously combining commerce, culture and experience. The Fair is divided into 8 large sub-zones, each sub-zone with its own unique but unified overall.
