This is a regional event, organized by Can Tho City People's Committee - Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee in coordination with the People's Committees of the Mekong Delta provinces; Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism - Can Tho City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism chaired and coordinated the implementation.
The event series has main activities including: the opening ceremony at 7:30 p.m. on November 29 at Hau River Park; on this occasion, the results of the voting program for attractive tourist destinations in Ho Chi Minh City and 13 provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta region will be announced.

According to the Organizing Committee, this is the first time Can Tho City and Ho Chi Minh City have jointly organized a large regional Tourism - Trade Week. The goal is to stimulate the trade, service and tourism sectors, contributing to promoting socio-economic cooperation, and improving the operational efficiency of the linkage cluster between Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta region.
