On June 2, the Hue Royal Antiquities Museum announced that it had installed glass cages to protect 3 kings of the Nguyen Dynasty, including the throne of Emperor Duy Tan - a national treasure recognized at the end of 2024.
The throne of King Duy Tan dates back to the early 20th century, is small in size, has sophisticated carvings, and has special historical and cultural value. Along with that, two thrones of the Khai Dinh Dynasty (1916 - 1925) were also put into the protection glass cages.
According to Mr. Ngo Van Minh - Director of Hue Royal Antiquities, most of the valuable treasures and artifacts here are displayed in glass cabinets, except for oversized artifacts such as dragoncrackers and royal poultry.
The police force is deployed to guard regularly. The camera system and break-even warning system at exhibition areas and antique warehouses are also inspected and operated periodically to ensure absolute safety for the heritage.
