On SBS Power FM's radio show "Youngstreet" hosted by Red Velvet's Wendy, The Black Label's new girl group MEOVV mentioned the song that opened up the K-pop world to them and their dream of becoming K-pop idols.
MEOVV members performed four songs on the radio show, including their debut single "MEOW", along with acapella versions of Lee Hyori's "U-Go-Girl", 2NE1's "I Don't Care", and Red Velvet's "Psycho".
Among these works, the members of MEOVV shared that 2NE1's "I Don't Care" sparked their dreams of becoming singers. "This is the song that made MEOVV dream of becoming singers," Wendy commented before the group performed "I Don't Care."
After Wendy expressed why the members chose to perform this song, MEOVV member Gawon replied, "This song is really a very special song that opened up the world of K-pop for me."
Wendy then expressed, "Honestly, all of 2NE1's albums and songs are songs that influence all artists to open their hearts to love K-pop." Then, all the MEOVV members nodded in agreement.
Wendy added, "I really, really like this song, it's so good." Member Sooin also commented, "We all had different dreams when we were young, but among them, I think we always had the dream of becoming singers."
