The walking street and Bach Dang night market - a familiar destination for people in Hai Duong in the past every weekend - have been officially resumed after a period of suspension to rearrange the management model.
From July 2025, this street will be directly managed by the People's Committee of Le Thanh Nghi Ward (Hai Phong City) instead of the old Hai Duong City People's Committee, marking a change in both organization and operation methods.
The change in management model is expected to breathe new life into the walking street - Bach Dang night market. The locality is making efforts to build the walking street space into a civilized, friendly and memorable destination for people and tourists. In addition to traditional culinary and shopping activities, the People's Committee of the ward will focus on organizing many more periodic cultural and artistic activities, creating a highlight for the experience for participants.
Notably, the special art program at the "Connecting Passion" stage this weekend is considered an event marking the vibrant return of the street. This is also an activity to celebrate an important event: Hai Duong province officially merged with Hai Phong city, becoming a new administrative unit from July 1.
In addition to the weekend art program, the ward will also organize many special events on major holidays and anniversaries of the homeland and country. The People's Committee of Le Thanh Nghi Ward is planning to invest in new identification points and check-in spaces at the walking street - Bach Dang night market to attract young people and create highlights for urban tourism activities.
Strengthening security and order, environmental sanitation and urban aesthetics are also the contents of special attention. The local government said it will closely coordinate with functional forces to maintain stability and create a healthy entertainment environment for the community.
