The APEC Conference Center project, with a total investment of VND21,860 billion, is a symbolic project serving national foreign policy goals. The project has an impressive scale of 16.06 hectares including APEC Park, Multi-purpose Theater and Convention & Exhibition Center. In particular, the Multi-purpose Theater has a roof area of 17,200 m2, including 6 upper floors and 1 basement with a capacity of 4,094 seats, designed by leading US consulting firms such as SOM and Apeiro in a circular shape - the symbol of heaven placed next to the square Conference Center symbolizing the Earth. The Conference Center has a total floor area of 157,500 m2, including 4 floors above ground and 1 basement, with the highlight being the ballroom that crosses the 81 m, without columns, with an area of 11,050 m2, recognized as the largest in the world today, surpassing the Caesars Forum in Las Vegas. Both works exploit the beauty of Eastern culture with the layer of dragon scale motifs, meticulous carved patterns, while applying modern techniques and equipment. Architectural details not only create aesthetic effects but also optimize lighting, wind and harmony with natural landscape, forming an open, flexible space, continuously connecting inside and outside, creating an architecture that is both modern and rich in symbols. The two projects are a complex combination of art, symbols and culture, expressing the scale and level of great investment.

Despite the architectural and technical complexity, the overall progress of the two main items, the Convention Center and the Multi-purpose Theater, is maintained at about 33% of the total construction volume. According to a detailed report from Sun Group, the Conference Center project in Sub-area S3 has completed 100% of the foundation and reached 31% of the rough construction. The completion of the absolute foundation is an important premise to ensure the technical requirements for the giant columnless structure. The steel structure installation work is expected to be completed on January 31, 2026, the exterior will be completed on June 30, 2026, and the interior will be completed on January 31, 2027. Meanwhile, the completion of the Multi-purpose Theater (Area S2) has also reached 95% of the foundation and 20.5% of the rough construction. Similarly, this item will complete the steel structure on January 31, 2026, complete the exterior on June 30, 2026, and complete the interior on January 31, 2027.

The simultaneous interior completion milestones in the first quarter of 2027 demonstrate the investor's absolute commitment to ensuring the project is put into operation on time to serve the APEC event, while opening up an ideal space for future shows, music festivals and international film festivals.
Along with that, the Phu Quoc International Airport expansion project also recorded very favorable progress, especially in phase 1 to serve APEC 2027. Specifically, since July 2025, a series of key items have been issued for implementation, including the construction of a new runway No. 2, a VIP terminal, which welcomes delegates and a T2 terminal, with a construction intensity of up to 700 large piles per month. According to the approved plan, the airport will reach level 4E after expansion, qualified to receive wide-body aircraft such as Boeing 747, 787 or Airbus A350. Currently, the project is closely following the approved plan with the results: Terminal T2 completes 85% of the rough structure; VIP terminal achieves 100% of rough structure and steel structure, 10% MEP and completion; runway No. 2 reaches 30% of the volume; the total output of the entire project reaches 2,370 billion VND. After only 4 months, the entire terminal block has been constructed to the 4th floor, aiming to complete the entire project by March 2027, a record speed in the aviation industry.

The "speed" progress of the two super projects, with the focus of resources and effective management capacity, has created a dual driving force to help Phu Quoc strongly transform. The completion of VIP Station and CHC Road No. 2 before APEC has ensured foreign infrastructure and transportation ready to welcome the Head of State and distinguished delegations. In particular, these works not only serve political events but are also a solid foundation for Phu Quoc to become a leading center for tourism, trade, conferences and foreign affairs in the region.
Through outstanding construction efficiency and iconic construction quality, Sun Group once again affirms its pioneering role in creating sustainable infrastructure values, making a practical contribution to the goal of macroeconomic development and enhancing Vietnam's international position.
