Singer Huong Tram and coach Thu Minh had a predestined partnership from The Voice of Vietnam 2012 competition. At that time, Huong Tram was only 17 years old and registered to participate in the competition.
Right from the Blind Auditions, Huong Tram made a strong impression with the song "I will always love you". With this performance, Huong Tram conquered Thu Minh and became the "ace" member of Thu Minh's team afterwards.
Throughout her journey at the competition, Huong Tram received direct guidance from Thu Minh and excellently won the championship of the first season of The Voice of Vietnam.

In 2013, the relationship between Thu Minh and Huong Tram was rumored to have cracked after a statement by Thu Minh in an interview.
