On the afternoon of August 28, at the seminar "To make Hanoi a cultural industrial center of the region and the world", many experts analyzed in depth the opportunities and challenges for the capital.
Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Hoai Son, full-time member of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Society, said that at the 25th Session, the Hanoi People's Council passed two important resolutions: the resolution to establish a cultural industrial center development area and the resolution to establish a commercial and cultural development area with many mechanisms and preferential policies.
These are considered decisions to pave the way, creating motivation for Hanoi to promote resources and build a modern cultural industry. However, for the resolutions to come into practice, a long, synchronous process is needed, associated with persistent investment.
According to Mr. Son, first of all, it is necessary to raise awareness and consensus in the whole society. Party committees, authorities, management agencies, businesses, the cultural - artistic community and people all need to clearly understand the meaning and goals of the resolution to act together.
At the same time, it is necessary to mobilize maximum social resources, creating conditions for the private sector to participate. This requires innovation in cultural management towards openness and flexibility.

Ms. Pham Thi Lan Anh, Head of the Heritage Management Department (Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports) said that the commercialization of relics in the direction of "softness and creativity" is a big challenge, not only for Hanoi or Vietnam but also for the whole world.
Hanoi has a rich heritage and many creative ideas, but turning them into specific products that are both attractive and preserve heritage values is not an easy problem.
Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Hoai Son emphasized that Hanoi not only stands out in terms of cultural heritage but also affirms its position as the leading entertainment center in the country.
Recent major concert programs such as Anh trai vu ngan cong gai, Anh trai say hi or national concerts celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2 have attracted millions of audiences, especially young people. This shows that Hanoi has the potential to become a center for art and entertainment in the region.
However, Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Hoai Son said that, besides many advantages, Hanoi also faces many challenges. For example, if the event is regional and international in scale. For example, with BlackPink's performance, Hanoi can confidently organize well, but if it is larger in scale, it may face difficulties.
"In reality, the conditions for the city to organize international events on a regional and international scale are still difficult. That is, to be able to organize a program, the organizer needs to carry out many procedures with a long preparation time; the city's infrastructure needs to be better, human resources also need to be invested more deeply... However, we can do it if there is a roadmap for good preparation", Mr. Bui Hoai Son commented.
