Accordingly, the 2026-2030 term press card has dimensions of 85.725 mm in length, 53.975 mm in width, and 0.76 mm in thickness according to ISO CR80 standards. The card is made of PVC plastic material, with a matte two-sided handle.
In terms of form, the front of the card has a yellow background, with a lotus flower and bronze drum motif printed in the middle, and the back has a red background. The press card is expressed in two languages, Vietnamese and English.
The front of the press card, in the area adjacent to the left margin, above is printed a photo of the cardholder with dimensions of 20 mm x 30 mm. Below the photo is the location of the QR code to recognize information of the press cardholder.
In the middle area of the card, above is printed the capital letter "PRESS CARD". Below are the lines "Full name", "Pseudonym", "Year of birth", "Agence/Organization". At the bottom are the lines "Card number/No", "Date of issue", "Valid to/Date of expiry".
In the area adjacent to the right side of the card, at the bottom is the title, signature of the person authorized to sign the press card and the seal of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
For the back of the press card, at the top is printed the capital letter "SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM/SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM". In the middle is the national emblem. The red background has a bronze drum pattern and below the card is a lotus flower. Below the national emblem is the capital letter "PRESS CARD".
The regulation also clearly states information on the press card. Accordingly, the full name is written in capital letters according to the declaration of registration for card issuance and renewal. The agency is written according to the working agency of the card applicant according to the declaration of registration for card issuance and renewal.
The press card number consists of 9 digits randomly selected by the software system. The QR code identifying the information of the person granted the press card when scanned will display information matching the database in the press card data system in real time, including the validity status of the card, full name, press agency and press card number.
The press card has a validity period of 5 years from the date of issuance of the card.
