The National Achievements Exhibition with the theme "80 years of independence - freedom - Happiness" attracted tens of thousands of people to participate.
Besides the exhibition areas on economics, technology, cultural and social achievements, there is a small space but creates a special attraction, which is the exhibition area of the history of Vietnamese currency through the ages.

This space is a unique slice when seemingly familiar artifacts awaken memories, arousing curiosity and discovery of many people.
First, the 20 VND and 50 VND silver foil printing by the Democratic Republic of Vietnam in the period of 1949 1951; the gold-plated foil of the South 1947-1954 was solemnly placed in the glass cabinet.
Many middle-aged and elderly people have stopped for a long time, pointing to details, whispering back the story of the country's early days of issuing its own coins. Many grandparents and old ladies brought their children and grandchildren, slowly reading each line to explain.
Each currency is not only a means of payment, but also a milestone reflecting each historical period and each new turning point of the country.
In addition, the forms of currency in the resistance war, from stamps, military receipts, exchange receipts, resistance receipts, name checks... in the period of 1945-1975 also evoke deep memories of a difficult period of the country.
Many elderly people stood for quite a while to look back at the form that was once associated with their childhood or youth.

In addition, the State Bank of Vietnam has issued many types of bank bonds to meet the need for non-cash payments, in the period of 1992-2002.
These banknotes, with a typical design of the early renovation period, used to be a popular means of payment in transactions between organizations and businesses, especially in the context of underdeveloped e-banking infrastructure.
For many young people, this is the first time they have seen "cashless" payments in the past.

One of the notable artifacts is the propaganda documents about the savings movement in the period of 195475, along with old savings documents, continuing to highlight the spirit of contribution and national construction of the people in the post-war period.
Although it does not occupy a large area, the currency display area has created a special cultural space in the middle of the exhibition.

The 80-year National Achievements Exhibition is a multidimensional cultural space, where each artifact, each currency can tell the story of a journey to build a country, protect the country and develop the nation.
