Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung has signed Decision 4585/QD-BVHTTDL to establish a Scientific Council for the Appraisal of the Planning for Conservation, restoration and rehabilitation of the Hue Monuments Complex to 2030, with a vision to 2050 - an important step to preserve and promote the value of Hue Heritage in the new period.
The Council consists of 20 members, chaired by Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong; Vice Chairwoman of the Department of Cultural Heritage Le Thi Thu Hien; and members of the Committee of criticism are experts such as Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Van Bai, MSc. Architect Tran Quoc Tuan and representatives of many ministries, branches and localities.

The Council is responsible for comprehensively assessing the planning content, synthesizing the results and reporting to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for consideration and decision. The Council is responsible for the professional conclusions and self-dissolutions after completing the task.
The establishment of the Appraisal Scientific Council is considered a key basis for orienting the strategy of preserving and restoring the Hue Monuments Complex, ensuring scientificity, synchronization and compliance with the requirements of sustainable development in the coming decades.
