Completed infrastructure, attracting secondary investors
Bao Ly - Xuan Phuong Industrial Cluster (Phu Binh) is one of 27 industrial clusters being implemented in Thai Nguyen. The project has a total investment of more than 305 billion VND, the detailed planning was approved in July 2020, the implementation period is expected to be 5 years. With the goal of attracting investment in developing industrial production, handicrafts, solving employment for workers... contributing to promoting socio-economic growth in the region.
Deployed on an area of about 20 hectares with a location adjacent to the Ring Road V - the axis connecting areas and industrial parks in the region, creating favorable conditions for the circulation of goods and access to on-site human resources.
According to a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper in mid-May 2025, after many years of implementation, the Bao Ly - Xuan Phuong Industrial Park project has now taken shape. Items such as internal traffic routes, power supply and drainage systems, and wastewater treatment have been basically completed.
According to information from the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province, there are currently 3 secondary investors signing land lease contracts with an area of 11.85 hectares, reaching 60% of the project's industrial land fund. Of which, 2 investors have been granted investment registration certificates, 1 investor is completing procedures according to regulations. The total registered investment value of secondary enterprises reached about 1,500 billion VND.
As of May 2025, Thai Nguyen province has been focusing on attracting investment capital in industrial clusters with the goal of improving local economic efficiency.
Previously, the province planned to attract about VND394 billion in foreign investment capital from the budget to industrial parks in the first quarter and expected to increase to about VND2,454 billion in the second quarter.
Bao Ly - Xuan Phuong Industrial Cluster is expected to actively contribute to this goal, while creating many jobs in the locality, helping to reduce the pressure of labor movement to other areas.
Increasing job opportunities
As a household with a house near Bao Ly - Xuan Phuong Industrial Park, Mr. Hoang Van Toan (Phu Binh) said that at the time of the project implementation, he and the people in the area were very happy because when the industrial park was put into operation, it not only helped people stabilize their livelihoods soon, but also opened up more job options for local workers, especially in popular positions, not requiring high skills.
According to Mr. Toan, many families used to mainly make a living by farming, but in recent years, economic efficiency has not been as good as before. The price of materials has increased, while the output of agricultural products is unstable, making it difficult for people to stay long-term in the rice fields to make a living.
"We work in the fields and gardens all year round, but the profit is not much. I just hope the industrial park will soon be put into operation so that the young generation will have more options and less hardship like us before," Mr. Toan added.
Also located not far from the project, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung said: "Previously, many young people had to leave their hometowns and go far because of the pressure to find a job to make a living. Now that there is a new industrial park, they can choose to return to work near home, saving costs and having more time for their families.
In addition to solving employment, the industrial park also brings many benefits to the lives of people in the area. The development of infrastructure and accompanying services will help people improve their quality of life and facilitate economic development.
