On the morning of September 28, Cua Viet Port Border Guard Station (Quang Tri Border Guard Command) said that 2 fishing boats and 11 crew members in Ho Chi Minh City had an accident while entering Cua Viet channel to avoid storm No. 10.
According to initial information, at 5:45 a.m., Ms. Quat Thi Hai Linh (born in 1995) reported that two fishing vessels with registration plates BV 4670-TS and BV 0042-TS had an incident about 1.5km from shore, right in front of Cua Viet channel (Cua Viet commune, Quang Tri province). Of which, 1 ship sank, 1 ship stalled, and was broken by waves.

Upon receiving the news, Cua Viet Port Border Guard Station urgently mobilized 10 officers and soldiers to coordinate with local authorities and people to organize rescue.
Up to now, 1 crew member has swam to shore safely, and the authorities are trying to search and rescue the remaining crew members.
The Provincial Border Guard Command reported to the provincial leaders and mobilized the CN-09 ship of Con Co Border Guard Station to coordinate with Cua Viet, Trieu Van Border Guard stations and Border Guard Squadron 2 to approach and support the rescue.
Rescue work is being urgently deployed in conditions of high waves and strong winds.
