Dong Nai – A car fire and accident on the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay highway on the morning of January 22 (the 23rd day of the Lunar New Year) caused a long traffic jam on this highway.

On the morning of January 22, a car fire and a series of accidents involving four cars on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway caused a long traffic jam.

According to initial information, at nearly 5:00 a.m. on January 22, a tractor-trailer with license plate 77C-075... pulling a trailer with a container was moving on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay highway, from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Nai province.

About 8 km after passing the intersection with National Highway 51 (in Binh Son commune, Long Thanh district), the tractor suddenly caught fire.

Upon receiving the fire alarm, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department of Dong Nai Province Police and Long Thanh District Police dispatched 3 fire trucks and more than 15 officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire. The fire was then quickly extinguished completely, with no human casualties recorded.

Then, at 7:00 a.m. on January 22, also on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay highway, about 5km past the National Highway 51 intersection, a series of accidents occurred between 4 container trucks.

The impact of the two incidents above caused traffic congestion on the road from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Nai and Binh Thuan.
