On January 13, information from Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that in Tho Xuan district and Bim Son town, there had just been 2 accidents that killed 2 people and injured 1 person.
At around 7:30 p.m. on January 12, on Route 4, in Ward 9, Sao Vang Town, Tho Xuan District, Thanh Hoa Province, an accident occurred between a motorbike with license plate 36AM-004…, driven by Mr. N.K.B (50 years old, residing in Sao Vang Town, Tho Xuan District) and a truck with license plate 36C-284… driven by N.Q.C (42 years old, residing in Tho Xuan Town, Tho Xuan District) parked on the side of the road.
The accident resulted in the death of Mr. N.K.B and severe damage to his motorbike. The initial cause was determined to be that Mr. B was driving without paying attention to traffic and caused the accident.
Previously, at around 5:45 a.m. on January 11, at km 288+300 of National Highway 1 intersecting with Ly Nhan Tong Street (in Bac Son Ward, Bim Son Town, Thanh Hoa Province), an accident also occurred between a motorbike with license plate 36N1-182…, on which were Mr. P.H.A (22 years old, residing in Quang Dai Commune, Sam Son City) and Ms. L.T.L (22 years old, residing in Quang Hung Commune, Sam Son City) traveling from Thanh Hoa to Hanoi, and with a tractor trailer with license plate 35C.066…/35R.008…, driven by Mr. B.V.P (34 years old, residing in Khanh Hoa Commune, Yen Khanh District, Ninh Binh Province) traveling in the opposite direction and turning left onto Ly Nhan Tong Street.
As a result, Mr. P.H.A died on the spot, and Ms. L.T.L was injured and had to be taken to the emergency room. The initial cause was determined to be that Mr. A. was driving the vehicle without paying attention and did not yield to oncoming traffic when changing direction.
Both cases are being further investigated and resolved by the police according to regulations.
