2,300 billion VND to renovate urban and rural areas in the whole province of Quang Ninh

Quang Ninh - 54 communes, wards and special zones have begun implementing a package of 2,300 billion VND to renovate urban areas, upgrade traffic, drainage, and build cultural institutions.

According to the Resolution of the 16th National Party Congress of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, the province strives to become a centrally-governed city before 2030, becoming a large urban area of regional and international stature by 2045.

Realizing this goal, Quang Ninh continues to promote investment, upgrade, and perfect urban infrastructure standards and criteria according to the roadmap, build smart cities, cultural, ecological, and environmental cities associated with strong urban economic development; build a urban chain with a synchronous, modern, civilized technical infrastructure system, social infrastructure, adapt to climate change, prevent and control natural disasters, meet the criteria of a centrally-run city; accelerate the rate of improving urbanization quality to ensure a synchronous and harmonious combination of urban renovation, embellishment, and reconstruction with the development of new urban areas.

Implementing the policy of continuing to upgrade existing urban areas and residential areas, Quang Ninh province has allocated VND 2,300 billion to 54 communes, wards and special areas to invest in building, upgrading, expanding transport infrastructure, drainage, beautifying existing urban areas and residential areas, beautifying, investing and upgrading cultural institutions.

Currently, all communes, wards and special zones in Quang Ninh province have been implementing urban upgrading, existing residential areas, cultural institutions, ensuring that each village and neighborhood has a place to play, outdoor community space to serve the people; at the same time, urgently implementing investment projects to overcome and completely handle locations, locations and areas that are often flooded in urban areas and residential areas.

Although subject to conditions and plans, some communes, wards and special zones have been allocated hundreds of billions of VND to implement urban renovation, improve traffic, drainage, and build cultural institutions.

Of which, Yen Tu ward has 12 projects and works to improve the quality of existing urban and residential areas with a total investment of 109 billion VND.

Viet Hung Ward has 10 works and projects to renovate and beautify urban infrastructure in residential areas with a total investment of 153.84 billion VND.

Bai Chay Ward has 7 projects to renovate and upgrade urban infrastructure and residential areas with a total investment of 119 billion VND.

Quang La commune has 5 projects and works with a total investment of about 88 billion VND.

In addition, thousands of households across the province have voluntarily donated land and demolished valuable structures to widen roads, build cultural institutions and playgrounds, contributing to changing the appearance of rural and urban areas.
