On December 21, the People's Committee of B'Lao Ward (Lam Dong Province) confirmed that a third-grade student had just died from drowning in the ward.
According to initial information, on the same morning, 3 students aged 8-10 went to the self-diged lake area in Dong Do Residential Area (Residential Group 18, Loc Son Industrial Park) to play.
While in the water, the students unfortunately fell into the lake. After that, a man discovered that he had jumped into the lake to rescue him.
After about 5 minutes, the two students were brought safely to shore, while P.V.Q (8 years old, residing in Hoa Ninh commune, temporarily residing in B'Lao ward) was submerged in water and died.
Upon receiving the report, the authorities of B'Lao ward were present at the scene to investigate and clarify the incident.
According to the People's Committee of B'Lao Ward, the victim's family was in difficult circumstances, and both parents were workers. Local leaders visited, expressed condolences, supported part of the cost and directed agencies and organizations to help the family with funeral arrangements.
