The Quang Vinh 1 and Quang Vinh 2 bridge projects across the Cau River in the center of Thai Nguyen province have a total investment of more than 1,500 billion VND. The project will start construction in early 2025, of which the length of Quang Vinh 1 (3.45km) and Quang Vinh 2 bridge (2.38km). The total area of land recovered to serve the project is more than 17 hectares.
Recorded by PV on December 21 at the Quang Vinh 2 bridge construction site, workers and machinery are carrying out bored and founded drilling. The items in the project are mainly deployed on the riverbank.

At the connection point with the Ben Tuong bridge axis, site clearance is still in disarray. Residential houses have not yet been cleared. For this reason, there is no access road to the construction site, so we have to go around the river bank.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ban (Linh Son ward) said that her family is subject to relocation to serve the Quang Vinh 2 bridge project. It is expected to be compensated more than 1 billion VND. However, the family has not yet relocated because they have not been resettled.
"There are about 20 households around here. Some have received compensation and resettlement land. My family has not been able to move yet because we do not have a new place to live. Only when I receive the money and have a new place to live with a full red book will I move," said Ms. Ban.
Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Van The - Deputy Head of the Quang Vinh 2 Bridge Construction Team (Licogi Company 18) said that at the starting point of the project adjacent to Ben Tuong Bridge, the construction unit has almost not yet handed over the site. Therefore, it is necessary to construct items on the riverbank.
"The road leading to the bridge still has no site clearance. The road to the construction site must be rented as a roundabout around the people's land.
The progress of the project is affected, and at many times the flood water rises, construction cannot be carried out. At the meetings, the unit also proposed to hand over the clean site soon," said Mr. The.

At the Quang Vinh 1 bridge project, the construction progress has only reached about 31%, the connecting road has not been implemented yet. Meanwhile, the number of households needing to be relocated is large, and the resettlement rate is still very low.
Regarding this issue, Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan has requested Quan Trieu ward to divide into 2 peak periods for site clearance for resettlement areas from now until Lunar New Year and in the first quarter of 2026.
At the same time, temporary housing policies will be flexibly applied. Strive to have resettlement land to allocate land to people by August 30, 2026, creating conditions to speed up the project's progress.
Land clearance problems also occurred at the Ring Road I Project. The project is 14.1km long, starting at Bo Dau ( Vo Tranh commune), ending at Linh Nham bridge (Dong Hy). The total investment of the project is over 1,152 billion VND.
According to PV at the Son Cam bridge construction area, many households within the construction area have not been relocated. People's houses are still blocking the construction site.

The section passing through Dong Hy commune still has 26 households that need to be resettled. Meanwhile, the section through Vo Tranh commune and Quan Trieu ward, where the new Son Cam bridge is being built, has reached 42,2% of the construction volume, 6 months behind schedule.
Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan has requested Dong Hy commune to urgently complete the approval of the plan for all households subject to resettlement before December 30. Deploy temporary housing support, no later than January 10, 2026, hand over 100% of the site.
In the Son Cam bridge construction area, localities must complete site clearance for resettlement before Tet, no later than the first quarter of 2026.
