Gia Lai - After 50 years since the Liberation Day (March 17, 1975 - March 17, 2025), the province has made changes and grown strongly.

The glorious revolutionary tradition

Currently, the material and spiritual life of Gia Lai people is constantly improving, the appearance of urban and rural areas is increasingly improving.

Looking back on the 50-year journey of construction and development, the Party Committee, government, army and people of all ethnic groups in the province are proud of the achievements in the province, continuing to promote the spirit of solidarity and resilience to make Gia Lai develop more and more sustainably.

From a locality that suffered many losses due to war, Gia Lai has risen strongly, achieving many outstanding results in many fields. People's lives are increasingly improved, the economy is developing comprehensively, with the goal of becoming a fairly developed province in the region by 2030.

Historical feats such as the Plei Me Campaign, the Cheo Reo - Phu Bon Victory, the General Offensive and Uprising for the Lunar New Year 1968, the Spring - Summer Campaign 1972... are the pride of the Gia Lai people, contributing to beautifying the glorious revolutionary tradition of their homeland.

The heroic children of Gia Lai such as Dinh Nup, Y Don, A Sanh, and Ka Klong will forever be engraved in the hearts of the nation, becoming symbols of courage and fighting spirit.

Promoting that tradition, Gia Lai has made good use of its potential and strengths, gradually integrating and developing sustainably thanks to the spirit of solidarity and high determination.

To date, the province has had 3 districts complete the task of building new rural areas, 94/180 communes (reaching 52.22%) and 162 villages and hamlets meeting new rural standards, including 131 villages of ethnic minorities.

Need for high determination to become a fairly developed province

At the meeting on January 6, 2025, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that Gia Lai needs to be highly determined to become a fairly developed province in the region. The province's development orientation needs to focus on three main pillars.

That is to develop the rural economy in the direction of applying high technology, towards organic and sustainable agriculture. At the same time, it improves productivity, product quality, and promotes exports.

The province needs to build tourism into a spearhead economic sector, develop sustainable tourism with the identity of the Central Highlands. Thereby, making Gia Lai an attractive destination, contributing to the Vietnamese tourism brand.

Gia Lai also develops selective industry, based on local advantages. Limit crude exports, increase the added value of products. Thereby, creating a favorable environment to attract investment, innovate technology, and link the supply chain.

The spirit of solidarity, innovation and creativity will continue to be the driving force for Gia Lai province to reach further, integrate deeply and make strong breakthroughs in the coming years.
