After the arrangement, the whole province will have 41 commune-level administrative units, including 36 communes and 5 wards, a decrease of 71.72% of the number of commune-level units compared to the present.
This is an important step to realize the spirit of "Party - People's Heart" in administrative reform, increase the effectiveness of state management and improve the quality of service to the people.
To prepare for the consultation, from April 16, localities have organized extensive propaganda through the press, radio, and broadcasting systems at the grassroots level, social networks, and the direct participation of grassroots staff. The receipt is distributed to each household to ensure democracy, publicity and transparency.
At the polling stations, people expressed their high agreement with the merger policy to increase management efficiency and create better service conditions for the people. Some opinions hope to keep the names of old villages and residential groups after the merger to maintain tradition and facilitate daily activities.
The local government affirmed that the consultation was organized in accordance with regulations, ensuring objectivity, honesty and demonstrating widespread consensus among the entire population.
