According to the inspection report of the Legal Committee of the An Giang Provincial People's Council, in the first 6 months of 2025, the inspection has transferred 5 cases with signs of negativity, corruption, waste and investigated and handled a total amount of temporary violations of more than 109 billion VND.
Notably, violations in implementing investment, acceptance, management, and use of capital related to the incinerator of the Provincial General Hospital are at risk of causing a temporary loss of more than VND 4.8 billion.
Kien Giang Vocational College prepared fake documents to pay more than 1.5 billion VND; car rental contract but not put into use, contract with individuals who are qualified to teach driving but do not participate in teaching, causing loss and waste of more than 3.8 billion VND.
Inspection of the implementation of the law in state management of mineral exploitation in the province for the Department of Natural Resources and Environment under Decision No. 114/QD-TTr dated September 20, 2024 of the Provincial Inspectorate discovered 4 mineral exploitation enterprises exceeding the permitted exploitation boundary at an altitude equivalent to more than 12.6 billion VND.
The inspection and review of legal documents, procedures and handling of administrative violations in the field of minerals under Decision No. 2033/QD-UBND dated July 12, 2024 of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee against 5 mineral exploitation enterprises with an amount of more than VND 86.8 billion.

At the same time, the Investigation Police Agency is continuing to investigate and handle 9 cases with signs of corruption against 20 defendants prosecuted by the Investigation Police Agency from previous years such as: Receiving bribes at the People's Committee of Cua Can Commune, the People's Committee of Cua Duong Commune with 7 defendants (3 cars have been seized, the amount of damage has not been determined); Embezzlement at the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs of Kien Hai District with 1 defendant with an amount of more than 410 million VND (received); The case at the Kien Giang Water Supply and Drainage Board Limited Liability Company has signs of corruption with an amount of more than 5.8 billion VND (received) against 3 defendants (the case has been seized, the defendants have been prosecuted); The Department of Vocational Education and Continuing Education of Giang District, An Duong Province (phase 2, 2019-202 for more than 1.1 billion VND)...
The Legal Committee of the An Giang Provincial People's Council believes that although competent authorities and advisory agencies on anti-corruption work have been determined in directing and operating in this field, corruption and negativity still occur in many agencies with a fairly large amount of violations, having to transfer 5 cases to the investigation agency and 9 cases that the investigation agency must continue to investigate and handle. Especially in the first 6 months of the year, there were 4 cases of dishonest declaration of assets and income.
The Legal Committee recommends that the Provincial People's Committee clearly identify the causes and trends of corruption and negativity to have effective preventive solutions in the coming time. Focus on directing self-inspection and self-detection of corruption and negativity internally, promptly handling to limit the occurrence of cases with high levels of violations. Implement well the coordination between agencies in investigating, prosecuting, and trying corruption cases...
