On the afternoon of October 13, the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion of An Giang province held a business meeting in 2025 on the occasion of Vietnam Entrepreneurs' Day (October 13.
In the 2021-2025 period, the whole province has about 12,300 newly registered enterprises, with a total registered capital of nearly 258,000 billion VND. By the end of 2025, the whole province will have about 20,000 operating enterprises with a total registered capital of nearly 308,000 billion VND.
Despite many difficulties and challenges, the development of the private economy has contributed to the average 5-year economic growth rate (GRDP) of 5.68%, total budget revenue is estimated at about 113,000 billion VND, total social investment capital is estimated at over 325,000 billion VND, an average growth rate of 9.76%/year, accounting for 27.19% of GRDP.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung expressed his gratitude and congratulated all businesses and entrepreneurs for their efforts and contributions to the development of An Giang province in the socio-economic development period of 2020 - 2025.
At the same time, he highly appreciated the spirit, responsibility and positivity of businesses and entrepreneurs who have accompanied An Giang province in social charity activities, supporting people in the province and across the country to overcome difficult times such as natural disasters and floods. Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic and achieving many good results.
Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung affirmed that in the coming period, An Giang province will continue to take the private economy as the most important driving force to develop the province's economy. Between the province and businesses, entrepreneurs need to accompany, share, and support each other in development.
To achieve the above goal, in the coming time, the province will continue to promote administrative reform, reduce administrative procedures, create a favorable, safe and equal investment and business environment for business development. Focus on removing difficulties and obstacles for businesses, unlocking resources for businesses to contribute.
In addition, together with businesses and entrepreneurs, promote the tradition of solidarity, build An Giang province to develop strongly and sustainably; strictly implement legal regulations to create an equal and competitive investment and business environment. Enterprises and entrepreneurs are both developed, have ethics and responsibility towards society, aiming at the most common goal of socio-economic development of the province, developing each enterprise and entrepreneur and improving a more beautiful life for the people.
Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung also hopes that businesses need to be proactive and accompany the province to set a high growth target in production and business activities to help the province achieve the general growth target of 11.53% in 2026. Enterprises proactively expand production and business activities, proactively cooperate, link domestically and internationally, apply science and technology to improve competitiveness, etc.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 64 collectives and 58 individuals who have achieved achievements in production and business activities and awarded certificates of merit to 7 individuals who have achieved achievements in production and business labor in enterprises contributing to the socio-economic development of An Giang province in 2025.
