On January 14, according to PV's investigation, Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee has just issued a summary report on the Emulation Movement "Completion of traffic connection for the Dong Dang - Tra Linh expressway construction investment project".
The report shows that the expressway was started on January 1, 2024. After a long period of construction, phase 1 officially opened technically on December 19, 2025, marking an important milestone in the formation of the strategic traffic axis in the Northeast region.
According to Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee, the expressway has a total length of more than 121km, of which the section passing through the province is about 69km. To date, phase 1 has completed the foundation and road surface of over 85km.
Two complex technical items, the tunnels through the mountains of Dong Khe and That Khe, are being focused on construction and completion by contractors.
Traffic safety, lighting and smart control systems are also being installed synchronously, ready for operation.
The project implementation process associated with the peak emulation movement has brought clear results. In Cao Bang, site clearance work has been accelerated, with a total cost of compensation, support, and resettlement of more than 243 billion VND, promptly paid to affected people", report No. 76 shows.
It is known that currently on many construction sites, more than 3,000 officials, engineers, workers and machinery are still working continuously.
Besides the achieved results, Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee also pointed out some limitations, such as the organization of emulation movements in some places is still formalistic and lacks depth; propaganda work is not diverse, and the level of spread is not uniform.
In the early stages of the project, there was a large workload, so the synthesis and reporting work was sometimes not timely.
From the actual implementation, Cao Bang province draws many lessons learned such as emphasizing the leadership and directing role throughout the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee.
At the same time, it is necessary to link the emulation movement with timely commendation; pay attention to discovering and replicating models and advanced typical examples.
In parallel with that, inspection and supervision in the implementation process need to be given special attention.
