According to the records at the scene on July 3, the commune's main road was flooded about 200 m, the deepest part was about 0.5 m; the flower production area in the downstream area was completely flooded, 7 households had to evacuate due to flooding into their houses and were forecast to be at risk of deep flooding.

Because the village has experienced flooding during the rainy season for many years, the authorities of Chieng An ward and the Phieng Nghe village management board and people living in this area have proactively taken response solutions immediately after signs of flooding; the commune has mobilized forces of 4 on-site to evacuate the assets of flooded households to safe places.
In addition, it is recommended that people regularly update weather information, announcements from local authorities, and proactively respond in the coming time.

Previously, Son La province deployed and implemented the Investment Project to build a flood treatment project in Phieng Nghe village to urgently resolve the problem of flooding, including the following items: Waterway tunnel and tunnel body.
Currently, the roadbed of the service road has been completed, implementing 30% of the planned volume; it is expected to ensure drainage in July 2025.
