In response to the complicated developments of storm No. 3, VNPT Group has sent a telegram to units in the affected areas of storm No. 3 to organize the implementation of storm response plans.
Accordingly, VNPT requires units to regularly update information, closely monitor weather developments through information means; organize the implementation of storm response plans; proactively inspect and review telecommunications network infrastructure; prepare adequate materials, fuel, and spare equipment, be ready to respond when situations arise, minimize damage to information and assets, and ensure safety for staff during the implementation process.

Units proactively grasp and promptly deploy information requirements for public networks and specialized networks to serve the direction and operation of authorities at all levels; be ready to coordinate and support the Central Post Office to deploy to ensure information to serve the direction and operation of natural disaster response for working groups of the Government and ministries and branches; prepare mobile service roaming plans between network operators; Be ready to operate to ensure VSAT-IP communication (satellite connection) of the specialized information network for natural disaster prevention; be ready to deploy VSAT transmission lines for mobile broadcasting vehicles when required.

MobiFone network has also prepared response work, especially in regions and localities that are likely to be directly affected by Typhoon Wipha, proactively deploying local enhancement measures such as installing backup generators, checking on-site, reinforcing broadcasting stations, maintaining equipment early... to ensure readiness to respond when incidents arise.
In order to strengthen the protection of network infrastructure against the impact of storms, MobiFone has quickly developed detailed response plans, closely following weather developments and closely coordinating with the hydrometeorological agency and local authorities. The entire technical force is also mobilized to the maximum to proactively prevent, promptly handle and minimize damage caused by the storm.
In addition to preparing response scenarios and human resources, MobiFone has conducted inspections and assessments of the overall technical infrastructure in high-risk areas such as coastal areas and mountainous areas - where landslides often occur or are isolated during the rainy season.
The review includes wave quality, access traffic, key broadcasting stations, especially independent BTS stations, solar power stations or stations located in complex terrain. Internal network systems, data centers, and network control centers (NOCs) are also carefully inspected to ensure smooth connection in all situations.
