On December 24, the Dak Lak Market Management Department informed that the authorities had just discovered and handled a case of a passenger car transporting nearly 400kg of beef of unknown origin on its way to sell.
Specifically, at 10:00 p.m. on December 18, in Tan An ward, Dak Lak province, the E-commerce and Mobile Market Management Team (under the Dak Lak Provincial Market Management Department) coordinated with the Traffic Police force to inspect a passenger car driven by driver T.V.Q (residing in the area).
Through inspection, the authorities discovered that the vehicle was transporting 380kg of beef leg meat (unprocessed), of unknown origin, without any mark of animal quarantine and in a foul smell.
At the time of inspection, the bus driver could not present any invoices or documents to prove the legality of the goods.
Mr. T.V.Q confessed that he was transporting this meat to Ho Chi Minh City for consumption. The inspection team temporarily detained all the infringing goods and continued to prepare records to handle them according to the provisions of law.
