On November 25, Quang Tri Provincial Police said that Truong Ninh Commune Police had just supported taking a girl riding a bicycle lost in the highway area to her relatives.
According to initial information, at around 4:00 p.m. on November 24, while patrolling the Bung - Van Ninh expressway section through Truong Ninh commune (Quang Tri province), the route management and operation team under Vietnam Expressway Operation and Maintenance Joint Stock Company discovered a girl cycling in the lane for motor vehicles at high speed. Realizing the danger, the authorities immediately stopped the vehicle, approached and took the girl away from the highway area.
Due to confusion and unable to remember the phone number of the relatives, the child was taken to the headquarters of Truong Ninh Commune Police for verification. Here, the police force identified the girl as T.T.M.H (born in 2007, residing in Hoan Lao commune, Quang Tri province).
H said that recently she had met someone through social media, often texting and sending meetings. Due to the sadness of the family, the child arbitrarily took a bicycle out of the house to find acquaintances online but did not know the route, accidentally entering the highway.
After receiving the child, Truong Ninh Commune Police contacted and instructed the family to pick him up and take care of him.
The police force recommends that parents need to strengthen management of their children's use of phones and social networks, promptly monitor unusual signs to avoid the situation of children leaving home.
