On the morning of November 18, speaking with Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Duong Van Tuyen - Chairman of Uc Ky Commune People's Committee said that the incident happened last night.
“At that time, people discovered a 1-day-old baby abandoned near the power station. Afterwards, they took him to the medical station for examination.
Currently, the child's health is still stable and is being cared for by a household. The local authorities have also issued an announcement to find relatives for the child," Mr. Tuyen informed.
According to the Chairman of the People's Committee of Uc Ky commune, first of all, a notice will be issued to find relatives. If this is not possible, there will be other solutions or an adoptive parent will be found.
According to Mr. Duong Van Vu (head of Tan Lap village), the baby was abandoned in the alley of the power station, near the intersection of Tan Lap inter-village roads.
"People passing by heard the sound of a baby crying and discovered it. At that time, the baby was crying but was in normal health, probably just abandoned.
There is a piece of paper attached saying that the baby was born at a hospital in Hanoi. Local people are taking care of the baby while they look for relatives," said Mr. Vu.
