On the afternoon of December 1, Ea Kao Ward Police (Dak Lak) confirmed that they had received a report about a 5-month-old boy abandoned at Quan The Am Pagoda. The child was placed under an umbrella, next to a handbag containing belongings.
In the bag, the temple discovered a piece of paper saying: "My child is in difficult circumstances and cannot be raised. I would like to leave the child at the pagoda and hope the pagoda will be patient and happy to raise the child. The baby was born on June 20. Thank you, Pagoda.
The police and local authorities have issued notices to find relatives. "If no one comes to claim the child after the prescribed time, the child will be allowed to do the procedures to" adopt the child. Currently, the temple is taking care of the child, said the leader of Ea Kao Ward Police.
