Sequelae after the beating
On January 1st, Ms. Do Thai Kim Duyen (mother of H.G.H - an 8th grade student at Que Phong Secondary School, Que Son commune, Da Nang) said that her daughter's health condition was showing signs of worsening. After being discharged from the hospital and returned home, H. continuously bled from her nose.

The re-examination results at the hospital recorded that he had a perforated left eardrum, blood accumulated in the ear canal and flowed down to the nose. Previously, H was admitted to the hospital in a state of cerebral seizure and soft tissue injury in the cervical vertebra.
As Lao Dong newspaper reported, on the afternoon of December 23, 2025, in the Que Son commune area, H was assaulted by a group of students (8 people), including 6 classmates. Images from the clip spread on social networks show H standing in a scene of suffering amidst the laughter and mischievousness of those around, causing a wave of fierce outrage in public opinion.
After the gang fight, female student H not only suffered quite serious ear injuries but also fell into an unusual state of silence, causing the family to seek help from a psychologist.
Worrying silence
Ms. Duyen sadly shared that her daughter is no longer panicked but has become sullen and taciturn. Even though relatives ask, she only replies with a "yes" and then remains silent, not actively chatting with anyone.
The family had to invite a psychologist to support and treat her remotely before conducting a direct meeting to avoid putting more pressure. Due to poor health and psychological instability, H missed the first semester exam. The school initially agreed to create conditions for her to review and take supplementary exams later.

For the group of students directly involved in assaulting H, the school agreed to implement disciplinary measures according to Circular 19/2025/TT-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Mr. Le Tran Kiet - Principal of the school - said that the violations of the students are at level 3 - the highest level, with negative impacts within the school. Therefore, the school has applied the highest disciplinary measure according to Circular 19.
The disciplinary measure according to regulations is to require students to write self-criticism. The self-criticism of students has confirmation and commitment from families to the school in coordinating management, education, supporting students to recognize, learn from experience, and overcome consequences for individuals and collectives that students cause errors. The self-criticism of students is stored in the school's records.
In addition, the conduct in the first semester of these students will be assessed at the lowest level as "Not Achieved" (equivalent to the weak type). Parents of violating students are all in agreement with this school's handling plan.
Regarding students who were present to witness the incident but did not intervene but encouraged, Mr. Kiet said that the school has proposed a plan to lower a level of conduct. However, he emphasized that this is not simply a punishment but an educational measure for them to clearly recognize their mistakes and be aware of their personal responsibilities.
The case is still being clarified by functional agencies to be handled according to the provisions of law.
