At the meeting with voters, campaigning for the election of NA Deputies of the 16th term at Election Unit No. 2 organized by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City (afternoon March 2nd), Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Ngoc Quang presented an action program focusing especially on strategic planning and dynamic transport infrastructure.
Mr. Le Ngoc Quang affirmed: "The city is making efforts to complete the general plan, re-allocate and rearrange development spaces, review and complete urban planning, industrial park planning and coastal development space planning in the South. We are coordinating with strategic investors to deploy the construction of strategic projects such as expanding Da Nang airport, both international and domestic terminals, building Lien Chieu port area with an investment scale of 46,000 billion VND and a high-speed railway project from Da Nang airport to Hoi An with an investment scale of about 50,000 billion VND".
Regarding urban embellishment, the city is reviewing the entire public land fund and old headquarters to prioritize public spaces, parking lots, and strive to increase the green tree target to 6m2 per capita.
Regarding environmental treatment, the Secretary of the City Party Committee said: "The city is focusing on building a modern waste-to-energy plant in Khanh Son, expected to be inaugurated in 2027. Implementing the plan to relocate about 350,000 graves to recover and convert land use purposes for school and hospital construction".
Mr. Le Ngoc Quang also committed to making efforts to remove legal barriers and apply special mechanisms such as free trade zones to attract large investment resources.
