On December 5, Thanh Hai Border Guard Station (Lam Dong) said that the unit's forces had been supporting people to cope with floods all night and searching for vehicles with broken anchors drifting to sea in the Phan Thiet area.
Prolonged heavy rain and water regulation from upstream have affected many households along the Ca Ty River in Quarter 6 (Tien Thanh Ward), Quarters 2 and 3 Phu Hai, Phu Thuy Ward. The strong current also endangers many ships anchored at river mouths.

In the face of the above situation, Thanh Hai Border Guard Station mobilized 35 officers and soldiers to coordinate with local authorities to evacuate the elderly, women, children and transport essential assets to safety.
At 4:00 a.m. on December 5, the unit continued to mobilize 2 fishing boats and 10 fishermen to support the search for Hiep Thinh 07 oil tanker and 2 fishing logistics service boats BTh 93989 TS, BTh 93 999 TS.
The authorities discovered all three ships drifting, then assisted the owner of the vehicle in accessing them to fix them. Currently, the ships are in the Doi Duong sea area, about 400 m from shore; the weather is stable, the vehicles and crew are safe.

For the BTh 95456 TS ship that was washed ashore by waves on Doi Duong beach on the afternoon of December 4, the unit contacted specialized vehicles to pull the ship out of the shore area. The ship is currently anchored safely near Phu Hai port.
