On the afternoon of December 4, the Military Command of Lam Dong province said that in the face of an urgent situation when heavy rain caused flooding, flash floods and landslides in many places, the unit promptly mobilized forces and means to coordinate with the police and local authorities to support people in areas affected by natural disasters.
Accordingly, on the night of December 3, the provincial armed forces mobilized to vulnerable locations, supported people in Hiep Thanh commune to cope with natural disasters, and evacuated people and property to safety.

The Command of Defense Area 1 - Duc Trong said that from the night of November 3 until now, the unit has mobilized nearly 200 officers and soldiers including standing soldiers and militia to deploy to many vulnerable locations such as D'Ran Pass, Don Duong Commune, Hiep Thanh Commune, Nam Ban Lam Ha Commune and Dinh Van Lam Ha Commune.
In localities, the military forces have quickly coordinated with the police and local authorities to organize the evacuation of people and property, overcome landslides, issue police, and regulate traffic.
At the same time, rescue engineering boats were used at deeply flooded areas. Up to now, no human casualties have been recorded. Monitoring and remedial work continues to be maintained regularly.

In Son Dien commune, more than 50 officers and soldiers are standing teams, militia and shock troops taking the lead in overcoming landslides on Gia Bac Pass, National Highway 28 (through Son Dien commune).
At the same time, the local coordinating unit urgently evacuated households living in locations at high risk of landslides in Son Dien commune to safe places.
In the southeastern area of the province, the military forces have coordinated with the police to evacuate hundreds of households in Song Luy commune from deeply flooded areas to safe places.

In the face of complicated floods, the Lam Dong Provincial Military Command has directed the regional defense commands, infantry regroupes, Border Guards, and mechanized reconnaissance companies to maintain the readiness of forces and means, promptly supporting localities in responding to natural disasters.
The Head of the Provincial Military Command requested units to effectively promote the motto "4 on-site", "3 readiness", ensuring that people do not lack temporary housing, hunger and organize the evacuation of people to safe areas.
In addition to mobilizing response forces, the Provincial Military Command also mobilized many vehicles such as military trucks, boats, canoes, etc. to increase support in vulnerable areas, high-risk areas, and deeply flooded areas.

The Provincial Military Command maintains a 24/7 hotline to receive rescue information; organizes forces on duty at vulnerable points and proactively plans for rescue. At the same time, the unit ensures adequate food, maintaining absolute safety for the people in all situations.
