Comprehensive health care for people
Buon Don Commune Health Station (Dak Lak) is effectively implementing initial health care activities for pregnant women at home and in the community. At the same time, the unit also organizes free consultation, examination and treatment for the elderly in accordance with regulations.
Accordingly, Buon Don Commune Health Station manages the health records of the elderly aged 60 and over and regularly updates their health status to have appropriate and effective care measures.

In addition, with the support of competent authorities, the Station also implemented activities to support production development and improve nutrition under the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction.
Thanks to that, nutritional conditions are improved, undernourishment is reduced, and the health and physical condition of children under 16 years old are improved. Most of these children are children of poor, near-poor or newly escaped poverty households in the area.
Ms. Y Lan Nie, an elderly person in Buon Don commune, shared that over the past 5 years, thanks to the support of the medical force and local authorities, the quality of life and health of the elderly have improved. Children are supplemented with nutrition and fully vaccinated.

"Thanks to that, the epidemic has rarely broke out, young people and women with young children can work and produce with peace of mind because the elderly and children have received support" - Ms. Y Lan Nie shared more.
Thanks to resources from national target programs, each year the commune reduces the number of poor households by about 5%. It is expected that by 2025, the whole commune will have about 570 poor households and more than 200 near-poor households.

foundation for sustainable poverty reduction
The People's Committee of Buon Don commune determined that health care plays a key role in socio-economic development, especially in ethnic minority areas, where living conditions are still difficult and access to health services is not uniform.
Mr. Le Thanh Son - Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Committee - emphasized: "To improve the quality of health care, comprehensive and sustainable solutions are needed. The commune will continue to invest in the grassroots health system and commune health stations, and at the same time propose that superiors supplement quality medical human resources to care for people in ethnic minority areas".

According to Mr. Son, when people are healthy, production labor is not interrupted, and the family economy improves, this is a key foundation to help the government effectively implement sustainable poverty reduction work.
"At the same time, communication work on health care and nutrition for people plays an important role. When people understand how to protect their health, the effectiveness of national target programs on nutrition, health care and economic development in ethnic minority areas will be significantly improved, Mr. Son emphasized.
