Ca Mau still has 4,400 households facing housing difficulties

Ca Mau - Support rate for new construction is 60 million VND/house, repair is 30 million VND/house. Total capital for eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses is 235 billion VND.

According to the data on the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses reported by the Provincial People's Committee to the Government Office, the Ministry of Construction, and the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Ca Mau province built 3,463 new houses and repaired 937 houses. For households with meritorious services to the revolution, 578 new houses were built and 579 houses were repaired. Poor households built 1,206 new houses and repaired 116 houses. Near-poor households built 1,324 new houses and repaired 242 houses. Households under the national target program for socio-economic development in ethnic minority areas in the province had 355 houses.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province requested the People's Committees of districts and cities of Ca Mau to thoroughly grasp the motto "The Party leads, the State manages, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations support, the People are the masters"; to have high determination, great efforts, drastic actions, focus on key points, complete each task, clearly assign people, tasks, time, responsibilities, and results.

According to the plan, Ca Mau province expects to complete the target ahead of schedule, aiming to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province by 2025.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province also requested the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to preside over and coordinate with relevant units and localities to specifically review the subjects (people with revolutionary contributions, martyrs' relatives; poor households, near-poor households; households under the national target program for socio-economic development in ethnic minority areas in the province) who are supported with current housing, have not yet had it, or have not yet had it but have built their own hygienic toilet system or hygienic toilets supported by other programs to support the construction.
