HUE - Hue City Hydrometeorological Station warns of strong northeast winds, high waves in the sea; boats and aquaculture cages are at risk of being affected.

On December 15, the Hue City Hydrometeorological Station said that there is currently scattered rain in the city's sea; Northeast wind level 4 - 5, gusting to level 6; rough seas; waves from 1.25 to 2.25 m high.

It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours (day and night of December 15), the Northeast wind will be strong at level 5, sometimes at level 6, gusting to level 7; rough seas; waves from 1.5 to 3 m high. The sea area will have scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places; it is necessary to be on guard against tornadoes and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms.

The Hue City Hydrometeorological Station warned that on the day and night of December 16, the Northeast wind will continue to maintain level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7; rough seas; waves from 1.5 to 3 m high. The natural disaster risk level due to strong winds and big waves is level 2.

Shipbuilding in the waters of Hue City, aquaculture cages and seafood exploitation activities are at risk of being affected. Strong winds and large waves can cause landslides of sea dykes, beaches, sea embankments and coastal works; at the same time, increase sea erosion in coastal communes and wards such as Phong Phu, Phong Quang, Thuan An, Phu Vinh, Vinh Loc, Phu Loc, Chan May - Lang Co.
