On November 25, Tho Chau Border Guard Station (An Giang Provincial Border Guard Command) said that the unit, along with other forces and fishermen, had just supported the search for a fishing boat that sank, leaving 4 fishermen missing.
Previously, on November 24, we received information that fishing boat CM-05967-TS had sunk, 4 fishermen fell into the sea and went missing.
The station has directed the two Border Control Stations, Bai Ngu and Bai Dong, to use a communication system to notify and call on fishing vessels operating around the affected area to coordinate in supporting, searching and rescuing the missing fishermen.
Notify local authorities and joint forces to coordinate, support and search. The station also mobilized 6 fishing boats of local fishermen and fishing boats of Gia Lai province anchored in the area to participate in supporting the search and rescue of fishermen in distress.
At around 7:30 a.m. on November 25, 2025, 4 fishermen were discovered drifting at sea in the Bai Ngu/Tho Chau area. Tho Chau Border Guard Station coordinated with officers and soldiers of Regiment 152/Military Region 9 to conduct the rescue, bring the 4 fishermen to shore, and take care of their health. Currently, the health of the 4 crew members has stabilized.
The crew members rescued include: Nguyen Van Khanh, born in 1986 - Captain, permanent resident of Ca Mau province; 3 other fishermen also residing in Ca Mau province.
Fortunately, there were no human casualties, the preliminary estimate of the sunken fishing boat and the total loss is estimated at about 400 million VND.
