House fire in Ho Chi Minh City, 2 people escaped

HCMC - A large fire broke out at a 1-ground-floor, 2-story house on Tan Son Nhi Street, Tan Phu District. Two people inside were lucky to escape.

As of 2:00 p.m. on September 29, Tan Phu District Police were still blocking off the area to investigate the cause of the house fire at alley 72, Tan Son Nhi Street, Tan Phu District.

According to local residents, the fire broke out at around 10am in a 1-storey, 2-storey house in the alley. At that time, people shouted and used mini fire extinguishers to put out the fire but were unsuccessful.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Tan Phu District Police dispatched vehicles and officers and soldiers to the scene to control the fire.

According to the scene, the fire broke out on the 2nd floor. At the time of the fire, there were 2 people inside the house. The woman escaped through the main door; the other person, a man, went to the terrace and climbed over the corrugated iron roof of a house to escape.

The fire destroyed many properties inside the house, and the second floor windows were shattered into pieces due to the pressure from the fire.

The cause and damage of the fire are being investigated by the police.
