On October 8, authorities in Quang Truc commune, Lam Dong province are investigating a serious fire that killed a couple.
Mr. Nguyen Van Anh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Truc Commune - said that the fire broke out at around 10:00 p.m. on October 7 at the house of Mr. N.V.Q (56 years old) and his wife, Ms. H.T.H (52 years old), residing in Bon Dak Huyt, Quang Truc Commune.
The fire caused Mr. Q to die on the spot, while Ms. H was taken to Cho Ray Hospital (Ho Chi Minh City) for emergency treatment but did not survive.
According to information from relatives and local authorities, before the incident, Mr. Q and Mrs. H had a conflict. At the time of the fire, the door was locked, suspected to be caused by Mr. Q using gasoline to set fire.
Currently, Lam Dong provincial authorities are urgently investigating and clarifying the cause of the incident.
After the fire, people in Bon Dak Huyt and the authorities of Quang Truc commune were on duty to support and encourage relatives to prepare for the funeral for the two victims.
