On January 18, information from the People's Committee of Thuc Phan ward, at about 6 pm on January 17, a forest fire of planted forests of people occurred in De Tham 12 residential group, Thuc Phan ward (area near the administrative center).
Immediately after receiving the news from the people, functional forces were present at the scene, deploying measures to control the fire and prevent the risk of fire spreading.
The burned area is a 4 - 5ha wide planted forest area of Mr. Luong Vu Nam's household. The initial cause was determined to be that the forest owner burned vegetation to improve the soil.
Previously, the forest owner cleared and created a fire barrier, but due to dry weather, the fire spread quickly.
Chairman of Thuc Phan Ward People's Committee Nguyen Anh Tuan was directly present at the scene, directing the handling of the forest fire.
Thanks to timely detection and the quick involvement of forces, the fire was controlled, causing no major damage, and not spreading to neighboring forest areas.
Functional agencies continue to advise people to strictly comply with regulations on forest fire prevention and fighting during the peak dry season.
