On June 24, information from Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that at about 1:38 pm on the same day, the 114 Command Information Center, Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police received a report of a forest fire in the Mai Lam area, Hai Binh ward.

Immediately after receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Police Department urgently dispatched 6 fire trucks and more than 100 officers and soldiers from Fire and Rescue Teams of Area 1, Area 2, Area 8 and the Firefighting Team to quickly approach the scene, deploy firefighting measures, and prevent the fire from spreading.
At the scene, forces approached the fire from many directions, and at the same time coordinated to deploy synchronous measures to prevent the risk of fire spreading, minimize damage and ensure safety for the surrounding area.
According to Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, due to the impact of prolonged hot weather in recent days, forest areas in Hai Binh, Truc Lam and Dao Duy Tu wards are warned of level V forest fires - extremely dangerous level.
Dry weather, outdoor temperatures continuously above 40 degrees Celsius make the ground cover dry, posing a very high risk of forest fires, and at the same time causing many difficulties for firefighting work.
Currently, the Fire and Rescue Police force is continuing to coordinate with functional forces, local authorities and people to focus on deploying professional measures, urgently controlling the fire, preventing it from spreading to neighboring areas, and minimizing possible damage.
At the same time, two forest fires also occurred in the forest area of Truc Lam and Dao Duy Tu wards.
