On January 13, the People's Committee of Ia Grai district, Gia Lai province, said that the unit had directed the authorities to investigate the cause of the fire at a livestock farm that killed nearly 1,600 pigs.
The fire broke out at Mr. Hoang Van Tiep's pig farm in Lang village, Ia Chia commune, Ia Grai district.
The fire quickly spread throughout the farm, killing 1,600 pigs, each weighing an average of 55kg.
Many cooling and odor filtering systems were also damaged, causing a total loss of nearly 6.5 billion VND. The initial cause was determined to be an electrical short circuit.
