On July 2nd, Nhon Phu Commune People's Committee coordinated with Vinh Long Provincial Traffic Project Management Board, Land Fund Development Center and Compensation Council to organize the payment of compensation money to households affected by the Dinh Khao bridge access road project (National Highway 57 bypass).
In this payment phase, 119/157 households in Nhon Phu commune received compensation with a total amount of more than 74.3 billion VND. The payment work is expected to be completed on July 3. At the same time, relevant units are accelerating the resettlement support for households heavily affected by the project.
The investment project to build the access road to Dinh Khao bridge is being implemented in Nhon Phu and Phu Phung communes, which is an item connecting to Dinh Khao bridge over the Co Chien River. The Dinh Khao bridge project has been approved for investment policy by the Prime Minister in the form of public-private partnership (PPP), with a total investment of about 2,852 billion VND.

According to the design, the access road has its starting point intersecting with DT. 902 in Nhon Phu commune, connecting to the National Highway 57 bypass, and its ending point intersecting with National Highway 57, with a length of about 4.3km, invested according to level III delta road standards, with a design speed of 80km/h. Dinh Khao bridge over the Co Chien River is built with a complete scale of 4 lanes.
When completed, the project will contribute to completing the traffic network on National Highway 57, reducing congestion in the Dinh Khao ferry area, creating favorable travel conditions for people, and at the same time strengthening connectivity with National Highway 1 and key expressways in the Mekong Delta region, contributing to promoting socio-economic development of Vinh Long and the region.
