The Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee has just requested the People's Committee of Ba Vi commune to coordinate with relevant agencies to urgently assess the specific status and level of landslide risk in the villages; at the same time, propose solutions to overcome and ensure safety for the people.
The Office of the Hanoi People's Committee has just issued an official dispatch conveying the direction of Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh on requesting the People's Committee of Ba Vi commune to urgently inspect and verify information reported by the press about the risk of high landslides in mountainous areas.
According to the document, recently, the press reported that in Ba Vi commune (Hanoi), there are nearly 50 points at risk of landslides near residential areas, directly affecting dozens of households.
Specifically, every time a storm comes, rocks and soil from the hillside overflow, causing danger, many families have to evacuate to ensure safety. This situation has been serious in recent years, causing damage to houses and property.
Although the government has implemented many measures, many landslides are complicated and difficult to handle due to regulations related to special-use forest land, while people still live in a state of anxiety, lacking safe and stable housing for a long time.
Faced with the above reality, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh requested the People's Committee of Ba Vi commune to coordinate with relevant agencies to urgently assess the specific status and level of landslide risk; propose solutions to overcome and ensure safety for people.
At the same time, before August 5, the People's Committee of Ba Vi commune must report and propose to the People's Committee of Hanoi measures to ensure the safety of people in areas at high risk of landslides.
